Join CCR&R Goes Blue This April!
April is Child Abuse & Neglect Prevention Month, and CCR&R is proud to launch CCR&R Goes Blue, a statewide initiative focused on raising awareness and supporting child care professionals and families across Tennessee. Throughout April, you’re invited to participate in simple, meaningful activities that highlight the vital role you play in protecting children and strengthening families. From wearing blue to engaging in classroom activities and sharing resources, every action makes a difference. Every interaction, every relationship, and every moment of care helps prevent child abuse and neglect. Join us in showing Tennessee that child safety starts with all of us.

Awareness & Prevention Coaches
Our Awareness & Prevention (A&P) Team is composed of TN CCR&R coaches from across the state, united by a shared commitment to protecting children and strengthening communities through education, advocacy and prevention. Each A&P team member serves in a specialized role, bringing expertise and passion to child abuse prevention efforts statewide.
While serving in these Awareness & Prevention roles, all A&P Navigators and A&P Ambassadors continue to work in their primary positions within TN CCR&R. Their A&P roles are additional leadership and service responsibilities, allowing them to extend their impact in child abuse prevention while remaining actively engaged in their primary roles.
A&P Navigators are authorized instructors through Darkness To Light and are authorized to facilitate Stewards of Children facilitator workshops. In addition to leading these trainings, Navigators provide child abuse and neglect trainings and provide guidance, mentorship, and support to A&P Ambassadors ensuring consistent , high-quality education and outreach efforts across the state.
A&P Ambassadors are certified Stewards of Children facilitators through Darkness To Light. They also serve as outreach representatives for awareness & prevention efforts. Ambassadors provide education on child abuse and neglect, raise community awareness, and help extend prevention resources to early childhood professionals, families, partners and stakeholders across the state.
