First Steps training helps new center directors and care givers meet the state law requirement of two hours of basic training in child development and child care during the first 30 days of employment for caregivers and four hours of pre-employment training for directors. First Steps is offered through the Agricultural Extension Service offices in all ninety-five counties and is free to providers.
